I am Lily Kimura and am now serving on the KPFA Local Station Board and running for re-election. I have to admit that I am still learning more each day as I try to become  immersed in KPFA and all its ramifications.  I am respectfully requesting that you vote for me so that I am able to continue to learn more about KPFA and become a real contributor.

I am interested in issues effecting minority communities which encompass voter suppression, environmental racism and universal health care as a safety net for all people.

I am a Family Law Attorney in Oakland and a past member of the City of Oakland Public Ethics Commission,  I am a past President of the Alameda County Bar Association and a member of the Asian Bar Association.

I am a past instructor in the Asian Studies Department at UC Berkeley.  As a student,  I participated on the board of UC Berkeley’s KALX radio and worked  as a producer-host on both music and public affairs programming.

I want to insure the future of KPFA’s insightful commentary, and creative cultural programming across northern California communities.
